Articles of Impeachment
The House Judiciary Committee is debating two articles of impeachment: abuse of presidential powers with a foreign government for his personal benefit and abuse of Congress by refusing to produce documents and directing all Executive Branch employees to withhold documents and refuse to testify in the matter of impeachment. The draft articles also refer to this as a pattern of conduct, referencing the Russian involvement in the 2016 election and the efforts to obstruct the Mueller investigation. It’s a pretty simple, straightforward case of impeachable conduct. The House Judiciary Committee debate is expected to last two days. If it passes, the full House will debate it next week.
You may wish to express your views on the President’s impeachment to your elected representative now.
