Alamance County Voter Suppression
I was on a zoom call this morning with several relatives. One lives in Alamance County, NC and recounted the following from a few days ago. A local minister was leading a 200 person protest march, voter rally and parade to the polling place. They stopped to protest by a plaque set up by the Daughters of the Confederacy to commemorate the lynching of a local black leader. The local police attacked the marchers with pepper spray and took the minister and several organizers to jail. So much for the right to vote and peaceably assemble in Graham, NC.
