99% Of Fatalities From Covid 19 Are Persons With One Or More Pre-Existing Illnesses

The Italian National Health Institute is studying deaths from Covid 19 in Italy. It reports that among the 19% of fatalities studied so far, half had three or more pre-existing illnesses; a quarter had two or more pre-existing illnesses and a quarter had one pre-existing illness. 75% had high blood pressure, a third had heart disease and just over a third had diabetes. Nearly 2/3rds were male. The average age of death is 79.5. Three of the victims had no pre-existing medical conditions. All of the deaths under 40 were males with pre-existing medical conditions. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2763667

This means a lot of people we all hold near and dear are at very high risk, and we need to take extraordinary precautions to avoid becoming the carriers of Covid 19 to those most vulnerable.
