California Governor Gavin Newsom is contracting for 15,000 beds with Motel 6 and other motels throughout the state to house homeless persons at high risk of the Covid 19 flu. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/493499-newsom-says-california-now-has-over-15000-hotel-rooms-for-homeless Chef Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen is providing three hot meals.

 

Mayor Garcetti and Honeywell have contracted for 24 million N 95 masks for Los Angeles health care providers at cost. https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2020/04/28/coronavirus-garcetti-honeywell-n95-masks/

 

This is in sharp contrast to the biggest banks and their big corporate restaurant and lodging chain clients that quickly cleaned out the federal funds intended to allow the Main St. small businesses to maintain their payroll of valuable workers while we wait out the Covid 19 economic lock down.
