Ivermectin
A Hamilton County judge, Judge Michael Oster, denied an injunction against a local hospital seeking to force it to treat a Covid patient with ivermectin. After a two-day hearing, he found the FDA, CDC and medical associations have not approved this common horse deworming medication as an effective treatment for Covid 19, and there is no sound medical science supporting its use.
The case was brought by the patient’s wife with the assistance of Dr. Fred Wagshul, a physician advocating for the widespread use of ivermectin to treat Covid patients and Jonathan Davidson, a local Ohio attorney. The defendant was the University of Cincinnati medical system that runs the local West Chester Medical Center.
