Al Gross MD for US Senator in Alaska

Al Gross MD for US Senator in Alaska

Al Gross is an orthopedic surgeon and a commercial fisherman. He is running for US Senate as an independent and is endorsed by the Democratic Party. This is his first run for public office.

He is a staunch supporter of the Affordable Care, the Medicaid expansion2 and the public option, which he believes will bring more affordable coverage to many Alaskans. He is also a defender of the Tongass old growth rain forest in southeast Alaska and of the state’s fisheries from foreign exploitation. He is a strong advocate for rural infrastructure from roads and the postal service to broadband. https://dralgrossak.com/prescriptions/

One of the most interesting local issues at play is the development of the Pebble Mine that is a serious threat to the salmon fisheries of Bristol Bay. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/21/climate/pebble-mine-alaska.html Senator Dan Sullivan has been taking campaign contributions from the Pebble Mine developers.

There is an interesting radio interview with Dr. Gross at

I hope you will join me in supporting Al Gross for US Senate from Alaska.
